  I've been here a few times and I've had a good experience each time. There's Mexican food all over Austin, but I like going here when for quality with a distinct flavor. It's near a major intersection in South Austin in a very convenient location with plenty of parking. It's a "strip mall" near Target and a dollar store, but don't let that dissuade you. Simple decor and a relative lack of ambiance keeps the focus on the food and your company. My servers have always been attentive and helpful, too. They do have happy hour and a full bar. I would give it 5 stars, but they are gluten-free items are not marked on the menu, which is important to me! But they were able to answer my question so I was able to order appropriate things for my dietary restriction.
  
  In short, great food, good service, convenient location and adequate surroundings.

  TLDR: Interior Mexican food with good soups brought down by grey meat off the grill.
  This is the third visit for me and my girlfriend. She has focused on the sopas, which is the reason we come, while I have ventured through the meats. The cecina criolla I had this time was an unfortunate dish. The meat was cooked under nopales which caused it to poach instead of grill resulting in a grey meat that lacked flavor. This dish dropped a 4 star interior Mexican restaurant to 3 stars.
